Dr. Elizabeth Caughey
DrC@caugheydds.com Dr. Elizabeth Caughey combines a focus on health and a commitment to
advanced education to accomplish excellence in dentistry. It is her mission
in her practice to guide and support her patients to achieving and maintaining
their optimal oral health.
Biography
Dr. Caughey completed dental school in 2000 from the University of
North Carolina, and quickly set out to create her dream practice. Just
months after graduation, she purchased a practice in Sandy Springs in the
suburbs of Atlanta, and began the process of updating the office with newer
technologies and techniques. In a very short time, she transformed the
practice into one that offers comprehensive dental care with an emphasis
on cosmetics.
Education
Dr. Elizabeth Caughey has never been satisfied with the status quo.
She believes her patients deserve only the very best care, and that requires
a commitment to continuing education. Dr. Caughey has attended numerous
post-graduate teaching facilities; she attributes her keen eye for aesthetics
to the Integra Institute in New Orleans, her techniques for dental restoration
to the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago, and her mastery of complex
case management to the L. D. Pankey Institute in Miami. Through all of
these courses and more, Dr. Caughey has accumulated the knowledge and experience
to make her eligible for the prestigious Fellowship award from the Academy
of General Dentistry.
Associations
In addition to her dedication to learning and devotion to her practice,
Dr. Caughey has been involved in a number of professional organizations.
As Vice President of the Atlanta Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, she organizes
and hosts educational programs for training other clinicians. She is also
a member of the American Dental Association and its Georgia and local chapters,
the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of General
Dentistry. Dr. Caughey believes strongly in sharing her learning with others,
and in elevating the standards for dentistry as the whole profession.
Outside the office, Dr. Caughey enjoys traveling with her husband, Roy.
They share a passion for the outdoors and spend their weekends gardening,
cycling, and playing golf.
